Derk is an Analyst at Blume Equity and brings experience in climate tech deal-making.

Prior to joining Blume, he worked for four years at IMPROVED Corporate Finance, a Dutch-based investment banking boutique focused on start-ups and scale-ups in the technology & energy space across Europe.

At IMPROVED, Derk supported founders and management teams at every stage of their journey, from growth capital right through to exit. Over the course of his time there, he worked on deals spanning sectors such as climate tech software, EV charging and utilities, across a wide range of business models.

Derk holds two master's degrees, in Finance and Economics. Based in Amsterdam, he's a keen sportsman, splitting his time between hockey, bootcamping and golf throughout the year, with skiing in the winter months.
